About Us:
True Friend Veterinarian is a unique house-call practice serving Williamson County and surrounding areas, dedicated to providing low-stress veterinary care in the comfort of your home. We specialize in complex cases including behavioral issues, terminal illness, and patients with chronic conditions requiring advanced care. Our practice stands apart through our commitment to low-stress handling - we prioritize patient comfort and will adjust our approach to ensure minimal distress. We work collaboratively with your current veterinary practice, focusing on filling crucial gaps in care and education while maintaining a limited scope that allows us to provide thorough, personalized attention to each patient.
I started True Friend because I recognized the need for specialized in-home veterinary care while working in clinical practice. My approach centers on treating the whole animal & family - addressing not only medical conditions but also emotional well-being and overall quality of life. I believe in managing caregiver burden alongside patient care, ensuring all family members maintain their quality of life during challenging times. Through comprehensive remote support via text, email, phone, and video calls, I remain accessible to clients, providing continuous care and guidance. I am committed to being a true friend to both pets and their families.
Primary Veterinarians:
I strive to connect and engage with all of my patient’s primary care veterinarians. I want to help support the brick-and-mortar general practitioner with cases better suited for treatment in the home or that need additional counseling. We see both in-home euthanasia and hospice cases, as well as difficult behavior cases that may require care within the home. We strive to refer back to and work with your practice anytime we can. This relationship can be tailored specifically to your clinic (for example, for some clinics we deliver labs to them to be processed & charged through the practice) We are now providing concierge care, permitting select clients access to me (Dr. Peeler) at any time, as well as select other unique services. This is great choice for clients & patients receiving multi-speciality care, traveling frequently, or struggling with chronic conditions.

True Friend Mobile Veterinary Services cares for canine and feline patients. We help all, but particularly pet patients who may be nervous or otherwise unfit for routine services in a physical veterinary facility.

True Friend does not perform urgent or emergent veterinary care, surgery, radiographs, dental cleanings, or other services requiring a facility.
Our house-call services are currently palliative care, hospice, behavior consultations, and in home euthanasia.
We do not have a truck, trailer, bus, or other facility, and all services will be provided within your home or outside of your home.
True Friend prefers to partner with your current primary general practitioner; however, True Friend does have partnerships with brick and mortar veterinary facilities to provide services needed outside of the house-call environment upon request.
We are by appointment only and appointments will be confirmed by our staff in the order they were requested.
