Dr. Julie Dr. Julie Buzby is a veterinarian who specializes in senior dog care. She blogs about improving the quality of life for senior dogs with topics ranging from preventative care, including proper nutrition, exercise, physical therapy exercises, and specific senior dog diseases/disorders.
She emphasizes the importance of providing senior dogs with a comfortable living environment that includes soft bedding, appropriate floor & toe traction, and low-impact exercise. The Grey Muzzle Organization
The Grey Muzzle Organization is a non-profit group dedicated to improving the lives of senior dogs. They provide grants to animal welfare organizations that support senior dogs, including medical expenses, hospice care, and adoption programs. They also raise public awareness about the benefits of adopting and fostering senior dogs and provide resources for senior dog owners. The organization partners with shelters, rescues, and other animal welfare organizations to help senior dogs find loving homes and to promote the well-being of older dogs.
