True Friend provides veterinary care to our patients within the comforts of their own home. We are able to provide:
Senior, palliative, and hospice consultations and care for patients with quality of life concerns seeking care in their home
Senior care: tailored to optimize the care of your healthy senior to improve their prime years and extend their life.
Palliative care: for pets with medical concerns that are not currently life threatening, focusing on improving quality of life, and recognizing signs of decline
Hospice care: for pets with terminal conditions, providing care in the home optimizing comfort and quality of life, and guiding the end-of-life decision making process.
In-Home Euthanasia: for patients in need of assistance crossing the Rainbow Bridge in the comfortable and calming environment of their own home.
Behavioral consultations: for patients with behavioral concerns including separation anxiety, generalized anxiety, fear, aggression and more. Dr. Peeler is not a boarded behaviorist, but will coordinate consultations with behaviorists in moderate-severe cases or if requested. Please reach out to us to see if we can help with your pet!
Remote care decision consultations: working with your primary care veterinarian we walk through your care decision journey, helping to determine the best diagnostic and treatment plan guided by your family values and needs.
Technician services for patients with fear/anxiety in the veterinary hospital or those who are no longer able to travel to the hospital. We can work with your primary veterinarian to provide diagnostic sample collections - blood draws, free catch urine samples, blood pressure and TPR assessments, as well as injectable medication administration prescribed by your veterinarian. We can also provide nail trims, anal gland expressions, and more.

Fees:
Implementing a transparent schedule of fees on our website enhances clarity and openness about our pricing structure, although it's important to note that fees for house call visits may vary based on specific requirements and personalized services.
Travel - every service (except telemedicine!) will include travel time - by time, typically $30-75, please contact us with your address for specific price
In Home Euthanasia - $375
Initial In Home Consultation + Detailed Summary: $300-$450
Recheck visits - $125-175
Remote care consultations - $95-150
Telemedicine (for clients only) - $50-$95
Technician services - by time, typically $20-60, additional charges dependent on service type.
Concierge care is available upon request & costs vary by service requested.

Lasting Memories: Ink Paw and Nose Prints, Locks of Hair: Every pet is unique, and we want to help you hold onto those special qualities. Upon request, we create ink paw and nose prints and/or clip locks of hair that capture the essence of your pet, serving as cherished mementos of the bond you share.
Private and Peaceful In-Home Euthanasia: Your pet's final moments should be filled with tranquility and love. Our caring veterinarian conducts the euthanasia process in the familiarity of your home, at you and your pet’s timeline, providing a calm and private environment.
Aftercare Assistance: We understand that aftercare is a deeply personal decision. While we do not handle care of body, we will discuss the options in detail with you, and help get you connected to the proper aftercare service.
Grief Support and Resources: Grieving is a natural part of this process. We offer resources and support to help you cope with the emotions and find solace in the memories you've shared with your pet.
Complimentary Follow-Up: Your feelings matter, and we are here to offer ongoing support. Our complimentary telemedicine follow-up session provides a safe space to talk about your pet, your feelings, and support moving forward while honoring your pet's memory.

Behavioral Consultations
Comprehensive Pet Behavioral Analysis and Progress Tracking Package:
Thorough Medical Record Analysis: We'll delve deep into your pet's previous medical records, gaining valuable insights to inform our analysis and recommendations.
Behavioral Video Evaluation (Up to 10 mins): Share videos of your pet's behaviors, allowing us to assess their actions and provide precise guidance.
Owner's Behavior-Specific Questionnaire Review: We'll review the questionnaire you fill out, ensuring we have a timeline and full understanding of your pet's behaviors.
In-Person Consultation (1-2 hours): During this session, we'll have a detailed discussion in person, addressing your concerns and proposing tailored strategies.
Post-Appointment Summary: After the consultation, you'll receive a comprehensive summary encompassing recommendations on medications, supplements, behavioral adjustments, nutrition, exercise, and environmental management.
Telemedicine Follow-Up: We'll schedule a telemedicine session to discuss the summary's contents, helping you choose the areas you'd like to focus on.
Progress Tracking: We provide distinct goals for you to monitor progress after medication adjustments and behavioral changes. If something we are trying isn’t working, we will know!
Cooperation with Your (or our) Trainer: We will cooperate with your current trainer or introduce you to one of ours. Medical behavior management should always include behavior modification (training) for best efficacy!
Free 30-Minute Follow Up Telemedicine Session: As part of our commitment to your pet's well-being, we offer a complimentary 30-minute telemedicine follow-up.

Through these remote consultations, we work closely with both you and your primary veterinarian to develop a care plan that aligns with your pet’s unique needs and your personal goals.
Comprehensive History Review: We begin by thoroughly examining your pet’s medical history to ensure a deep understanding of their condition and previously performed testing. We may also interview your veterinarian to discuss their recommendations for care.
Consultation: Dr. Peeler will join you on a video or phone call, engaging with you in a detailed discussion, addressing your concerns, explaining your options, and helping you navigate complex medical decisions. By focusing on your specific goals, and your family’s values, we reduce the need for unneccessary or unwanted diagnostic tests and procedures, ensuring that your pet receives only the most relevant and beneficial care.
Ongoing Support: If requested, we can provide regular support to make necessary adjustments to your pet’s care plan. We love working with our local veterinarians, and are happy to keep ‘up to date’ with your pet’s case.
